Larkfields Junior School

Be the Best You Can Be... Celebrate Success... Respect Others...

Welcome to Larkfields Junior School

This week has been Anti-Bullying week, it has been fabulous to see so many children Taking Care of Each Other, both on the playground and in classrooms as part of their learning.  The children have also been taking part in lessons about how to look after each other and the Power for Good which is the Anti-Bullying national theme this year.

We are continuing our work on being resilient and are flexing our perseverance muscles this week alongside our managing distractions one.  Next week we will be looking at using our absorption muscle more and working on what this looks like when we are learning and working.

Thank you to those parents that came and met me this week, it was great to hear your views about school life.  I am currently writing an electronic questionnaire for parents to complete on reading - more details to follow.

This half term is looking very busy - year 3 and 4 have started rehearsals for the Christmas production which has been written by our very own Mr Betts!  We are currently planning movie night and the Christmas fair with the Friends of Larkfields. Any suggestions for a Christmas film are warmly welcomed.

We are also excited about Christmas dinner and jumper day on Thursday 15th December.
